The Old Acre Development Company Ltd. was founded in 1967 and is now headed by CEO David Harari.

The company’s goals

To develop the Old City as an international tourism city with large and small hotels, attractions, historical and archeological sites, sailing, sports, recreation and tourism.

Activity of the Old Acre Development Company Ltd.

The Old Acre Development Company Ltd. is a government company subordinate to the Ministry of Tourism. The company’s job is to carry out the tasks specified above and those defined in the company’s memorandum and articles

The company is budgeted by all the government ministries, in accordance with its areas of activity

Its revenues are invested in developing the Old City and marketing it in accordance with a regional concept combining hotels accommodation, tours and visits to sites and attractions in Acre and its environs.

A Visitors and Reservations Center, for the service of the public, was built in the Enchanted Garden, which is situated in the northern anchor at the entrance to Old Acre. The Center provides information services and makes reservations for accommodation and visits to the various sites in Acre, in the Western Galilee, in the Upper Galilee, in Haifa, the Carmel Mountain Range and in Nazareth.
